A $16,000 Virtual Sword. Are You Out Of Your Mind?

We love games here at BnV, and don’t mind shelling out $60 for the newest label. Hell, we’ll even spend quite a bit for an arcade. (I bought a Tekken arcade….love it!) To spend $16,000 though, that’s a bit extreme by any gamers standards. Especially for something that isn’t tangible.

Many of our MMORPGs fans probably have already heard of Age of Wulin. Based in ancient China, Age of Wulin (AoW) is a seemingly epic game, with an even more epic storyline. Don’t worry about buying the game though, it’s a free. But, not for release until spring 2012 here in the states. China will be the first market, but still not released there yet, which is why I think it’s crazy to buy upgrades to a game you have yet to play. It didn’t stop the guy below though for shelling out $16,000 for a virtual sword that is sure not to get him laid.

I hope he didn't think this was going to get him some trim.

$16,000 is a lot of money. It’s a new car, a down payment on a house, or for some…a portion of the payment on an elaborate sex doll, but to spend that on a fucking gaming sword…your out of your damn mind! Apparently though he isn’t alone. Others aren’t spending nearly as much, but add-on costs are still high with some spending almost $3,000 for other useless additions. Ridiculous!
